THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY OF

NORTHEAST COLORADO...EXTREME SOUTHEAST WELD

THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING TOWNS AND CITIES... PROSPECT
VALLEY

AT 435 PM MDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT
45 MILES NORTHEAST OF DENVER NEAR THE TOWN OF PROSPECT VALLEY.

THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTH NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.

REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS OF OVER 60 MPH...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR
NO ADVANCE WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO
A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
