AT 145 PM MDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORM IN EXTREME NORTHEAST DOUGLAS COUNTY JUST EAST OF PARKER. THE STORM IS MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 15 MILES PER HOUR AND SHOULD BE IN NORTHWEST ELBERT COUNTY IN ABOUT 10 TO 15 MINUTES. THE STORM APPEARS TO BE TRACKING TO THE NORTH OF THE TOWNS OF ELIZABETH AND KIOWA. HEAVY RAIN..HAIL..GUSTY WINDS AND LIGHTNING WILL ACCOMPANY THE STORM. PERSONS IN THE PATH OF THE STORM SHOULD KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER AND IF THREATENING CONDITIONS DEVELOP SHOULD SEEK SAFE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. AT 215 PM MDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORM IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARAPAHOE COUNTY SOUTHWEST OF BENNETT. THE STORM IS MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 15 MILES PER HOUR BUT IS ALSO SHOWING SIGNS OF DEVELOPING TO THE NORTH. PERSONS IN CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL ARAPAHOE COUNTY INCLUDING RESIDENTS OF THE TOWNS OF BENNETT.. STRASBURG AND BYERS SHOULD KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER AND IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES SHOULD SEEK A PLACE OF SAFETY IMMEDIATELY. ALL PERSONS IN EASTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY NEAR CASTLE ROCK AND FRANKTOWN SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LIGHTNING...VERY STRONG GUSTY WINDS... POSSIBLE HAIL AND HEAVY RAIN FROM A STRONG THUNDERSTORM UNTIL 630 PM MDT THIS EVENING. AT 600 PM MDT RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 3 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CASTLE ROCK.
