A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING ACROSS NORTHWEST ALABAMA
EARLY IN THE AFTERNOON.

AT 135PM CDT...THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM REFORM IN
PICKENS COUNTY, TO WINFIELD AND HACKLEBURG IN MARION COUNTY, THEN
INTO THE NORTHWEST PORTION OF THE STATE. THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 TO 30 AND IS EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH
PICKENS, LAMAR, MARION AND FAYETTE COUNTIES...THEN INTO TUSCALOOSA,
WALKER AND WINSTON COUNTIES BY 2 PM CDT.

STRONG GUSTY WINDS, BRIEF BUT TORRENTIAL RAIN, AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING
WILL ACCOMPANY THESE STORMS.

WIND GUSTS TO 48 MPH WERE RECdORDED AT COLUMBUS MS. AND 42 MPH AT
TUPELO MS. AS THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVED THROUGH MISSISSIPPI
SHORTLY AFTER NOON.
