...TORNADO WATCH FOR LA CROSSE COUNTY AND ADJACENT COUNTIES OF WEST
CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN..SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA AND NORTHEAST
IOWA UNTIL 700 PM CDT...

AT 110 PM CDT WEATHE RADAR SHOWED AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDING FROM 60 MILES NORTHEAST OF MINNEAPOLIS TO NEAR MASON CITY
IOWA.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 35 MPH.

AT 110 PM CDT SOME STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAD ALREADY MOVED INTO
BUFFALO COUNTY OF WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN..OR 50 MILES NORTHWEST OF LA
CROSSE.  OTHER STORMS WERE LOCATED 25 MILES WEST OF LA CROSSE AND
THESE WILL MOVE INTO THE LA CROSSE AREA BY 200 PM CDT.

REMEMBER..A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR THE
FORMATION OF TORNADOES IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.  PERSONS IN
THE WATCH AREA SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER
CONDITIONS AND BE PREPARED TO SEEK SHELTER IF THREATENING WEATHER IS
SIGHTED.
