THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030PM EDT FOR PERSONS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

NORTHERN MICHIGAN..CHIPPEWA AND EASTERN LUCE AND  ADJACENT COASTAL
WATERS OF LAKE SUPERIOR FROM GRAND MARAIS MI TO SAULT SAINTE
MI..INCLUDING WHITEFISH BAY.

AT 915 PM EDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING
FROM 13 MILES NORTH OF NEWBERRY MI NORTHEAST INTO WHITEFISH BAY. THIS
LINE IS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.


REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.
