000 TTAA00 KHON 260522 TORHON SDC077-097-260600- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED/EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HURON SD 1222 AM CDT SAT JUL 26 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF EAST CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...SOUTHEAST KINGSBURY AND EASTERN MINER SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN THE WARNING AREA ARE HOWARD.. OLDHAM..AND RAMONA. AT 1217 AM CDT A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED BY THE SHERRIFS OFFICE ON THE KINGSBURY..MINER COUNTY LINE AT HIGHWAY 25. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...YOU SHOULD GO TO A BASEMENT SHELTER IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE GO TO A CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. AT 945 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED AN INTENSE THUNDERSTORM OVER EASTERN EDMUNDS COUNTY NEAR THE TOWN OF IPSWITCH...25 MILES WEST OF ABERDEEN. THIS STORM IS MOVING EAST AT 10 MPH. PERIODS OF VERY HEAVY RAIN ARE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH SMALL HAIL. ALSO THIS STORM HAS A LOT OF DEADLY LIGHTNING ASSOCIATED WITH IT. IF YOU LIVE IN EASTERN EDMUNDS COUNTY..OR WESTERN BROWN COUNTY NEAR US HIWAY 12 YOU SHOULD BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS UNTIL ABOUT 1030 PM CDT. KEEFE
