000 TTAA00 KHON 200241 SVRHON SDC065-069-119-200345- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HURON SD 941 PM CDT THU JUN 19 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...EXTREME NORTHEAST HUGHES...EXTREME WESTERN HYDE AND EASTERN SULLY SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN THE WARNING AREA ARE HAROLD. AT 935 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN SOUTHEAST SULLY COUNTY..55 MILES NORTHEAST OF PIERRE SD. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..YOU SHOULD GO TO A REINFORCED SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING... DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS VERY QUICKLY. REPORTS AT 910 PM CDT FROM EUREKA INDICATED HEAVY RAIN AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. THIS STORM IS ALSO CAPABLE OF STRONG WIND AND SMALL HAIL. IF YOU LIVE IN CAMPBELL OR MCPHERSON COUNTY YOU SHOULD BE ALERT TO CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS..AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR PROPERTY.
