000 TTAA00 KABR 300621 SVRABR SDC013-091-300730- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ABERDEEN SD 121 AM CDT WED APR 30 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 230 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA...NORTHERN BROWN AND NORTHWEST MARSHALL SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN THE WARNING ARE ORDWAY..COLUMBIA BARNARD..HOUGHTON..AMHURST AND BRITTON. AT 115 1M CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES NORTH OF ABERDEEN NEAR ORDWAY MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. REPORTED INFORMATION PUBLIC REPORTS WINDS OF 60 MPH AT ORDWAY IN NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..YOU SHOULD GET TO A REINFORCED SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.
