Beginning on 21 March at 2258, Bulusan erupted producing ash clouds that rose as high as 2 km from the summit. The ash fell on nearby villages and people are not permitted to enter within 4 km of the volcano's crater. In June, a news article reported one death caused by an asthma attack from exposure to ash.
