The 6.4MW earthquake that occurred a few minutes ago on the coast of the Coquimbo region generated an instrumental tsunami of 6-7 cm. This phenomenon is only detected by instruments and is not more dangerous for the population. The magnitude was not enough to create a greater tsunami. (reference #12441)
