A meteotsunami impacted the western coast of South Korea, the region which appears to be under the highest risk of destructive meteotsunamis (Fig. 1d). One fisherman went missing near the coast of Gunsan, in the central part of the western coast (Kim et al. 2017). (reference #12544)
