A magnitude 7.0 Ms earthquake at 10:38 UT occurred near the coast of Kamchatka in the Bering Sea and created a tsunami which reached Ust-Kamchatsk 18 minutes after the quake. It was recorded 33 minutes after the quake at the Village of Nikolskoe on Bering Island in the Komandorsky Islands.
