Keith (Reference #1823) wrote: "At Curling on the northwest shore of Newfoundland a tidal wave was felt in 1928." He did not specify a month or day. Ruffman (Reference #3935) believes this to be an exaggerated tide that flooded the lower parts of the town of Curling.
