1923 Feb. 23. Philippines. Epicenter 06'45'N., 123'35'E. Waves entered Rio Grande de Cagayail River at Cotabato, (Repetti 1931). (reference #40)
Berninghausen (1969) cited a work by Repetti (1931) that mentioned about waves that entered the Rio Grande de Cagayan River in Cotabato on February 23, 1923. This event, however, is not found in any of the other existing earthquake catalogs including SEASEE (1985), USGS and PHIVOLCS. Tsunami probability is ranked as doubtful (reference #10958)
Reference #414 notes the date of 23 Feb is a mistake and is referring to 03 March 1923 event.
