1895, January 28. A strong wave, apparently of meteorological origin, broke on the coast of Maliko, Maui Island, according to Soloviev and Go (1975, p. 239). Cox and Morgan (1977, p. 37-38) conclude from contemporary reports that there was no tsunami on this date. (reference #236)
