Five months after the Krakatau explosion, a small tsunami arose, caused by a new volcanic eruption. (reference #414). Note: Ref #414 cites reference #3613.
Cause of tsunami is possible underwater explosion (reference #10848)
Reference #3613 summarizes a section of Verbeek (1884) which is originally in Dutch: “The eruptions of the Krakatoa volcanoes which culminated in the great Krakatoa disaster of August 1883 are described. The final catastrophic explosion produced an immense seismic sea wave which caused severe damage on the coasts of Java and Sumatra. About five months later, a small tsunami was caused by a new volcanic explosion.”
