Earthquake accompanied an eruption of Mount Hekla. A small wave was noted along the adjacent coast. Berninghausen (Reference #2822) adds to this: "1693 February 13 to August, Eruption from 4 craters. Ejected large blocks. Ashes fell in Norway and Scotland, currents carried pumice to the Faeroes. An earthquake and tsunami accompanied the eruption."
