F1 tornado, St. Jo, Texas, April 26, 1994
This F1 tornado ran 5.0 miles across Montague County on April 26, 1994, touching down at 3:30 PM CDT and reaching 200 yards wide. It killed nobody, and did $50,000 to $500,000 of property damage.

Severe damage. Whole stories of well-built houses destroyed, large buildings badly damaged, trains overturned, trees debarked, heavy cars lifted and thrown.

Devastating damage. Well-built houses leveled, structures with weak foundations moved some distance, cars thrown and large missiles generated.
F5261 to 318 mph
Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.

A tornado touched down briefly, blowing over a mobile home office.
A tornado touched down approximately two miles southwest of St. Jo then moved northeast for 10 to 15 minutes before lifting. Power lines were knocked down and 20 head of cattle were killed.
