   Severe damage. Whole stories of well-built houses destroyed, large buildings badly damaged, trains overturned, trees debarked, heavy cars lifted and thrown.

   Devastating damage. Well-built houses leveled, structures with weak foundations moved some distance, cars thrown and large missiles generated.

   Incredible damage. Strong frame houses swept off their foundations, car-sized missiles thrown more than 100 meters, steel-reinforced concrete badly damaged, high-rise buildings deformed.

A National Weather Service Cleveland storm survey determined that a brief EF-0 tornado touched down on the west side of Conneautville, Pennsylvania, at about 4:10 PM EDT on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

The tornado left a path of damage, uprooting several trees and snapping large limbs along Mulberry Lane and Mulberry Street. The circulation then moved east across Mulberry Street, causing additional tree damage before dissipating shortly thereafter. Additionally, several trees were uprooted and snapped along State Highway 198.

Based on the observed damage, the tornado's maximum winds were estimated at 85 mph, yielding an EF-0 rating. The tornado was 100 yards wide. It was brief and produced a relatively short damage path before evolving into straight-line thunderstorm winds.

Although the tornadic circulation ended, strong straight-line winds persisted south of the tornado path. These winds caused additional damage, including several trees downed across the railroad tracks near Main Street and Smith Avenue. Maximum straight-line wind speeds reached 80 mph.

A line of thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front Sunday afternoon and moved southeast across Lake Erie into portions of Northwest Pennsylvania. Storms became strong to severe as they moved southeast over the Lake Erie Islands and towards the lakeshore, bringing damaging wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph. Storms continued to intensify as they continued east to southeast into Northwest Pennsylvania, resulting in peak wind gusts in excess of 70 mph at times and hail slightly larger than quarters, particularly near the OH/PA border across Northwest Pennsylvania where a few tornadoes also occurred. At the height of the event, over 150,000 power outages were reported across Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania.
