A tornado touched down briefly in open country near Hartsel. Severe thunderstorms in Aurora produced estimated wind gusts up to 70 mph that downed a tree that damaged a house. Hail the size of nickels was reported in Douglas County. Thunderstorms produced heavy rain and localized street flooding in North Denver.
