- Dense Fog in Washington, November 29, 2018Areas of fog are common in the lower elevations of the Columbia Basin during the winter months. On the morning of November 29th dense fog formed along the Columbia River south of Mattawa.
- Dense Fog in Washington, December 1, 2002Freezing fog led to icy road conditions throughout the Yakima Valley. A Montero vehicle rolled over after hitting a patch of ice on Interstate 82 between Zillah and Granger near milepost 54, leading to one fatality, and one injury.

- Dense Fog in Washington, January 23, 2001Dense fog and icy roads led to a 12 vehicle chain-reaction collision on Interstate-82 south of the Tri-Cities. This accident lead to several injuries and closed the southbound lanes for 7 hours.
- Dense Fog in Washington, October 24, 2000Dense fog formed over the Columbia Basin near the Tri-Cities. Several accidents occured around the region, including three on the Snake River Bridge between Pasco and Wallula Junction. Visibilities were reported as low as 100 ft.
- Dense Fog in Washington, December 6 to 8, 1997Freezing fog caused ice to build up on power lines in Klickitat county. This caused power outages for as many as 4100 customers over a three day period.
- Dense Fog in Washington, January 15, 2004Dense fog and icy roadways led to a 20 vehicle pile-up outside of Selah which blocked westbound lanes of interstate 82 for about two hours, with no serious injuries.
- Dense Fog in Washington, January 27, 2005Dense fog contributed to a collision on Ferguson Road southeast of Ellensburg. An eastbound vehicle collided with a westbound vehicle when attempting to pass a vehicle.
