- Excessive Heat and Hail in South Carolina, July 26, 2010Record heat across the area along with plenty of moisture produced heat index values between 115 and 125 degrees. Surface Based CAPE values reached as high as 6000-6500 j/kg with DCAPE values approaching 1500-1600 j/kg.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in South Carolina, July 1, 2012Oppressive heat continued the first day of July over the Upstate, with Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport hitting an all-time record high temperature of 107 degrees. However, low dewpoints kept the heat index just below 110.
- Excessive Heat and Winter Weather in South Carolina, February 24, 2015A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain pelted the Midlands and Pee Dee regions. - Excessive Heat in South Carolina, July 30, 2021Under the influence of a strong ridge aloft, hot temperatures combined with high humidity levels to produce dangerous heat indices across southeast South Carolina. Numerous observation sites reported heat index values in excess of 115 degrees for several hours.
- Excessive Heat in South Carolina, August 10, 2007A large ridge of high pressure at the surface and aloft resulted in excessively hot and humid conditions across the area.
