- Flash Flood and Hail in Puerto Rico, May 11, 2017The proximity of a mid-upper level trough and a surface shortwave trough with abundant moisture provided favorable environmental conditions for the development of thunderstorms and widespread showers over the region.

Strong divergence aloft resulted in hail, and the heavy rain left flooding, mudslides and rivers overflowing.
- Debris Flow and Flood in Puerto Rico, October 15 to 17, 2022An approaching polar trough combined with moisture from a stalled frontal system north of the islands resulted in favorable conditions for showers and thunderstorms. Several flooding, mudslides and even hail reports were received.
- Flash Flooding and Debris Flows in Puerto Rico, September 19 to 22, 2024The proximity of an upper level trough, along with an area of enhanced moisture, very light winds and strong heating resulted in explosive convection developing over Puerto Rico. The thunderstorms produced very heavy rainfall, lightning, gusty winds, and even hail.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Puerto Rico, August 17, 2024A tropical wave increased moisture and instability, giving an extra boost to the typical weather pattern. On Saturday (17th), this promoted unsettled conditions with the formation of strong afternoon thunderstorms.
- Flash Flood and Debris Flows in Puerto Rico, April 12 to 15, 2026The combination of an approaching front, a developing pre-frontal trough, and a mid-to upper-level trough promoted a moist and unstable weather pattern across the |region. This resulted in flooding, landslides, flash flooding and hail from April 12th to 15th.

- Flash Flood and Debris Flow in Puerto Rico, May 23 to 26, 2022A TUTT low enhanced the diurnally induced afternoon convection across sections of central and western Puerto Rico between May 23-26. This created long-lasting thunderstorms with periods of heavy rainfall that led to flash flooding and mudslides.
- Debris Flow and Flooding in Puerto Rico, June 16 to 20, 2024Series of troughs enhanced afternoon convection during the week. Flooding, thunderstorm wind and hail reports were received at some point during the week. Activity caused a landslide in Bayamon.
- Flood and Hail in Puerto Rico, September 25, 2024Increased instability along with elevated low level moisture resulted in energetic showers and thunderstorms developing over Puerto Rico. The rain was heavy enough to leave accumulations of 2 to 3 inches, along with gusty winds, lightning, and even small hail.
