- Dense Fog in North Dakota, January 15 to 20, 2023Multiple days of dense fog combined with below freezing temperatures led to heavy frost and ice forming on power lines over northwest into parts of north central North Dakota.
- Dense Fog in North Dakota, April 18, 2022Dense fog developed during the early morning hours, with visibility under one-quarter mile. Along North Dakota Highway 23, in Mountrail County near the Ward County line, a pickup-truck pulled onto the highway out of a private driveway.
- Dense Fog in North Dakota, August 25, 2022A multi-vehicle crash occurred along Highway 52 one mile east of Sawyer in Ward County in patchy dense fog. The crash involved four commercial vehicles and eight passenger vehicles. Four injuries were reported.
