- Heat in Montana, August 17, 2011Big Horn County Coroner reported that a 3-year-old boy died after being left in a parked car for several hours in Hardin. The boy died during the late afternoon hours when temperatures were in the lower 90s.
- Heat in Montana, August 11 to 16, 2003The high temperature reached 100 degrees or higher for 6 consecutive days at Glasgow International Airport from August 11th-16th. This breaks the previous record of 5 consecutive days with highs of 100 degrees or higher set back in 1933.
- Heat in Montana, July 13 to 31, 2007July brought record heat to much of northeast Montana. In Glasgow it was the 2nd hottest July and calendar month on record. Records at Glasgow date back to 1893. There were a total of 6 days with a high temperature of 100 degrees or higher.
- Heat in Montana, July 14, 2002An upper level ridge brought extreme heat to northeast Montana in mid July. The hottest day in the heatwave was July 14.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Montana, July 17 to 24, 2024The second heatwave that occurred was the hottest of the two heatwaves that occurred in July of 2024.
- Heat in Montana, July 9 to 11, 2024This was the first of two heatwaves that western Montana experienced in July of 2024.
- Heat in Montana, June 28 to 30, 2021An unusually strong ridge of high pressure settled over the Pacific Northwest bringing hot daytime temperatures and warm overnight lows. The consecutive days of heat made it difficult to cool locations without air conditioning.
- Heat in Montana, July 29 to 31, 2022A very strong ridge of high pressure settled over the Northern Rockies. Daily record highs were set for multiple observation sites.
