- Excessive Heat and Heat in Mississippi, August 1 to 5, 2010An upper level ridge of high pressure further intensified over the Mid-South continuing from the end of July into the beginning of August. The upper ridge of high pressure produced above normal temperatures over the area.
- Heat in Mississippi, July 13, 2000A man suffered from heat stroke while working on a construction project.
- Heat in Mississippi, August 5 to 16, 2007During the first half of August, a heat wave took hold of the region and brought some of the warmest temperatures since the summer of 2000. This heat wave began around August 5th and lasted until the 16th.
- Heat in Mississippi, July 23 to 27, 2005A five day "heat wave" occurred across most of the region between July 23rd and 27th. A combination of the actual air temperature and relative humidity values combined to produce heat indice values near 110 degrees each day.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Mississippi, June 12 to 18, 2022A large upper ridge prevailed across the region from mid-June through the end of the month resulting in very hot and humid conditions across the Mid-South. The heat was most intense on June 12th and 13th.
- Heat in Mississippi, July 29 to 31, 2010An upper level ridge of high pressure intensified over the Mid-South at the end of July producing high heat indices between 105-109 degrees. These conditions continued into the early part of August. One death occurred as a result of the heat.

- Heat in Mississippi, July 18, 2000A 58 year old male was found dead from heat exhaustion while sitting in his truck in the driveway of his home with the windows rolled up.
- Heat in Mississippi, August 20, 2000A woman in the town of Crowder died due to the extreme heat.
- Heat in Mississippi, August 29, 2000A 35 year old quadriplegic man died when his wheelchair got stuck in sand in front of his house, and he was unable to get out of the heat.
- Heat in Mississippi, August 22, 2000An 81-year-old woman was found dead near her home in the town of Ozark. Her death was caused by the excessive heat.

- Heat in Mississippi, July 20, 2008A heat wave produced temperatures near or above 100 degrees during the late part of July. Those temperatures combined with high humidity produced heat index values of over 100 degrees during this time frame as well.
- Heat in Mississippi, May 29, 2011Temperatures rose into the 90s for highs by the end of May. A baby died as a result of being left in a hot car.
