- Dense Fog in Mississippi, February 21, 2024Dense fog and smoke led to near-zero visibility in some parts of southeastern Mississippi. A 20-vehicle accident in Jones County resulted in 21 injuries.
- Dense Fog in Mississippi, November 28, 2012Patchy dense fog developed on the morning of the 28th across south-central Mississippi. A vehicle accident on I-55 north of Brookhaven resulted in one fatality. Dense fog in the area was cited as a contributor to the accident.
- Dense Fog in Mississippi, January 12, 2006A group on mostly teenagers in a pickup truck were struck broadside by a tractor trailer truck. The accident happened on Highway 26 near Wiggins in dense fog. The pick up truck with the kids was stopped in the middle of the road.
