- Excessive Heat in Massachusetts, June 22 to 25, 2025Very hot and humid weather occurred in southern New England over the course of 4 days, peaking on Tuesday June 24th when heat index values reached 105 to 110. All four climate sites easily set daily records, and Providence and Boston set all time June high temperature records.
- Excessive Heat and High Wind in Massachusetts, December 17, 2000A rapidly strengthening low pressure system west of New England brought a period of damaging southerly winds to much of the Bay State, as lines of showers passed through southern New England.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Massachusetts, July 6 to 7, 2010A strong ridge built into Southern New England resulting in temperatures nearing 100 with high humidity. Heat index values ranged from 100 to 106 for most of Southern New England on the 6th and again on the 7th in a more limited area, generally the Connecticut River Valley.

- Excessive Heat in Massachusetts, May 3, 2001The high temperature of 87 degrees at Worcester Regional Airport tied the previous record high for the date, which was set in 1942. At Logan International Airport in Boston, the high temperature of 92 degrees broke the previous record high of 85 degrees, which was set in 1942.
- Excessive Heat in Massachusetts, July 1, 2018An area of high pressure over the Eastern USA brought hot and very humid air to Southern New England on July 1st. Heat Index values of 105 to 109 occurred in parts of Eastern and Northwestern Massachusetts. Heat Index values in much of the state reached 95 to 104.
- Excessive Heat and Hail in Massachusetts, May 9, 2000An isolated severe thunderstorm produced quarter size hail in Granville and Southwick. At the Blue Hill Observatory in Milton, the high temperature of 93 degrees broke the previous record high for the date of 92 degrees, set in 1979.
- Excessive Heat in Massachusetts, May 12, 2001The high temperature reached 88 degrees at Logan International Airport in Boston, which tied the record high for the date set in 1991.
- Excessive Heat in Massachusetts, July 1 to 4, 2018A hot and humid airmass brought excessively high heat indices to western Massachusetts during the beginning of July. Temperatures soared as high as the mid to upper 90s on July 1st, the hottest day of the stretch.
