- Tropical Storm and Flash Flood in Hawaii, August 24 to 26, 2024Hurricane Hone, which formed in the Central Pacific, tracked towards the Hawaiian islands and passed by just south of the Big Island.
- Tropical Storm and Flash Flood in Hawaii, July 28 to 31, 2013Flossie, downgraded to tropical depression status as it neared Maui at 1700 HST on the 29th, affected the state from July 28th through the 30th, though high surf continued through the 31st on the Big Island of Hawaii.
- Tropical Storm and Flooding in Hawaii, July 19, 2023Tropical Storm Calvin passed just south of the Big island, and its rain bands with deep convection led to periods of heavy rainfall and minor flooding for portions of the Big Island. The Tropical Storm also brought high winds to portions of the Big Island.
