- Cold in Delaware, January 26, 2007The combination of a strong northwest flow around an arctic high pressure system and because this high originated near the North Pole produced the coldest morning in two years across most of Delaware on the 26th. Most low temperatures were around 10F.
- Cold in Delaware, February 4 to 6, 1996The coldest air mass of the winter season moved into Delaware following the February 2nd-3rd storm. Low temperatures reached close to and in a few places below zero the mornings of the 5th and 6th.
- Cold in Delaware, January 17 to 20, 1997The coldest air mass of the winter season moved into Delaware on Friday the 17th. The high pressure system came straight from the arctic tundra and moved southeast reaching the Middle and South Atlantic States on the 19th and 20th.
- Cold in Delaware, April 9 to 11, 1997An unseasonably cold air mass from Canada moved across the Delmarva Peninsula from April 9th through the 11th. A cold front moved through the region during the night of the 8th and ushered in this unseasonably cold air mass.
- Cold in Delaware, July 31, 2000July 2000 was one of the coolest and wettest Julys on record for the state of Delaware.
- Cold in Delaware, July 31, 2001July 2001 was an unseasonably cool month for the state of Delaware. The preliminary monthly state mean temperature was 73.5 degrees, the 8th coolest July on record since 1895.
- Cold in Delaware, January 14 to 29, 2003A cold frontal passage on the 13th initiated about a two week run of unseasonably cold weather, even by January standards across the Delmarva Peninsula. The coldest mornings were the mornings of the 18th and 28th as low temperatures dipped into the single numbers.
- Cold in Delaware, January 9 to 11, 2004An arctic air mass brought some of the coldest weather in years to the Delmarva Peninsula from the evening of the 9th through the morning of the 11th.
- Cold in Delaware, January 15 to 16, 2004Following an Alberta Clipper low pressure system, another arctic air mass invaded Delaware. While temperatures were slightly higher than the previous outbreak on the 10th and 11th, winds were stronger and the wind chill factors were lower.
- Cold in Delaware, December 20, 2004A high pressure system of arctic origin built into Delaware on the 20th. This was one of the coldest air masses of the entire winter season.
- Cold in Delaware, January 23 to 24, 2005In the wake of the winter storm, a high pressure system from Canada built into the northeastern part of the United States.

- Cold in Delaware, March 6, 2007The combination of the strong northwest winds and an unseasonably cold air mass produced wind chill factors in the single numbers across Delaware on the morning of the 6th. Actual low temperatures were mainly between 15 degrees and 20 degrees.
- Cold in Delaware, January 7, 2014One of the harshest arctic outbreaks in years occurred in Delaware on the 7th. Record breaking calendar day low temperatures occurred and combined with strong northwest winds produced wind chill factors as low as 10 to 20 degrees below zero in most areas that morning.
- Cold in Delaware, January 7 to 8, 2015The arrival of an arctic air mass brought the coldest morning of the month of January for most of Delaware. Morning low temperatures were around 10 degrees above zero.
- Cold in Delaware, February 19 to 20, 2015The arrival of another arctic air mass brought some of the lowest wind chills as well as the lowest temperatures of the winter season to Delaware on the 20th and 21st.

- Cold in Delaware, February 24, 2015The high pressure system responsible for third and last arctic blast of the month of February arrived in Delaware on the morning of the 24th.
- Cold in Delaware, February 15, 2015The combination of strong to high winds and an approaching arctic air mass produced wind chill factors as low as 10 to 20 degrees below zero during the first half of the day on the 15th in Delaware. Code Purples were in effect. Shelters were full.
- Cold in Delaware, May 31, 1997May 1997 was an unseasonably cool month. For most locations, it was the coolest May since 1967 with monthly departures that averaged 3 to 4 degrees below normal.
- Cold in Delaware, January 16 to 18, 2009A large arctic high pressure system moved toward the area during the 16th and 17th. The extent of the arctic air mass kept maximum temperatures only in the teens and 20s, with minimum temperatures down into the single digits.
- Cold in Delaware, December 23 to 24, 2022An Arctic cold front swept through the region on December 23rd ushering in a very cold and dry airmass. Temperatures fell into the single digits and teens with wind chills ranging from 0 to -10 across portions of Delaware.
