Several downed trees and wires resulted from the strongest storms. More than 25,000 customers lost power.
- Heat in Connecticut, July 4 to 6, 1999An extremely hot and humid airmass covered the region from July 4th through July 6th.On Sunday July 4th, temperatures soared into the mid 90s.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Connecticut, July 15 to 19, 2013A large ridge of high pressure was situated along the eastern seaboard for the week of July 15th through July 19th. The flow around this high pressure ridge brought a very warm and humid air mass into Connecticut for much of the week, along with plenty of sunshine.
- Heat in Connecticut, August 8 to 10, 2001A Bermuda high pressure system "pumped" hot temperatures and high humidities across the region. Daytime temperatures broke records in a few locations. Maximum temperatures ranged from the mid 90s to 100 degrees in urban areas, which produced heat indices from 105 to 110 degrees.

Heat index values (feels like temperatures) reached the mid-90s to lower 100s across portions of southern Litchfield County both days.

Temperatures across Litchfield County warmed well into the 90s each day. On Friday July 22nd, the Thomaston Dam reported a high of 100 degrees.

- Heat and Damaging Winds in Connecticut, July 29 to 30, 2025High pressure over the region brought a period of hot and humid conditions to portions of northwestern Connecticut on July 29-30, 2025.
- Heat in Connecticut, August 1 to 3, 2006An oppressive air mass moved slowly east across the region.Excessive heat occurred mainly from noon to midnight each day for 3 consecutive days. High temperatures ranged from the mid to upper 90s.
- Heat in Connecticut, August 28 to 29, 2018Hazy, hot and humid conditions enveloped the region from Tuesday, August 28th through Wednesday, August 29th. This prompted a heat advisory to be issued both days for all locations below 1000 feet. Maximum heat index values ranged from the low 90's to the low 100's.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Connecticut, July 19 to 21, 2019A heat wave gripped northwestern Connecticut from July 19th through the 21st. Temperatures soared to the mid-90s with dewpoints in the low to mid-70s. This resulted in heat index values in the 100 to 110 range in the warmest areas.

- Heat in Connecticut, July 20 to 24, 2022A prolonged period of hot and humid weather occurred across northwestern Connecticut during the second half of July. Heat indices peaked between 95 and 103 degrees during the afternoon hours on July 20, 21, 23 and 24.
- Heat in Connecticut, July 16 to 17, 2025A ridge of high pressure brought a period of hot and humid conditions across northwestern Connecticut on July 16-17, 2025. Maximum heat index values (feels-like temperatures) between 95 and 102 degrees occurred each afternoon.
- Heat and Damaging Winds in Connecticut, July 22 to 23, 2020Heat indices exceeded 95 degrees over southern Litchfield County for two consecutive days on the 22nd and 23rd. In addition, a line of thunderstorms produced a few reports of wind damage during the evening of July 23rd.
