• Hail in Missouri, April 11, 20141 in hail · 1 eventA small cluster of thunderstorms intensified within a zone of southerly low level winds on the back side of a surface high pressure ridge. A broad 500 mb trough over the Plains aided the development of the storms. One of the storms reached marginally severe levels.
• Hail in Arkansas, April 11, 20141 in hail · 1 eventA few diurnal thunderstorms developed across Eastern Arkansas on April 11th, 2014 in response to an upper level trough moving through the area. One storm became severe producing large hail.
• Damaging Wind in Tennessee, April 11, 2014$1,000 · 52 kt wind · 1 eventA cluster of showers and thunderstorms moved quickly across Middle Tennessee during the late afternoon and evening hours on April 11. One report of wind damage was received.
• Lightning Strike in Minnesota, April 12, 2014$50,000 · 1 eventAn early morning lightning strike ignited a fire that caused extensive damage to a house overlooking Green Lake near Spicer, Minnesota. The lightning sparked a fire which destroyed a utility room and moved upward to the second story and roof.
• Hail and Damaging Winds in Iowa, April 12 to 14, 2014$584,000 · 2.75 in hail · 117 eventsA very warm airmass moved into Iowa on the 11th and 12th of April. By the afternoon of the 12th, temperatures reached the 80s across a large part of Iowa with dewpoint temperatures in the mid 50s to around 60.
• Hail and Damaging Winds in Illinois, April 12, 20141 in hail · 15 eventsA weak shortwave moving across southern Minnesota and Wisconsin brought thunderstorms to the Highway 20 corridor of northwest Illinois. These thunderstorms quickly become severe and produce hail to the size of quarters and damaging winds in Stephenson and Jo Daviess Counties.

Numerous strong to severe thunderstorms developed and moved east to northeast across southern Wisconsin.
• Hail and Damaging Winds in Wisconsin, April 12, 2014$101,000 · 1 in hail · 6 eventsThunderstorms that developed north of a warm front that was across southern Wisconsin, produced heavy rainfall, isolated wind damage and large hail. The heavy rain caused urban and small stream flooding in Winnebago County, around Oshkosh and Neenah.
• Hail in Iowa, April 12, 20141.75 in hail · 19 eventsSeveral rounds of thunderstorms moved across western Wisconsin on April 12th. These storms developed along a very slow moving cold front and primarily produced large hail, although some occasional high winds also were reported.
• Hail and Damaging Winds in Michigan, April 12, 2014$3.5 million · 1 in hail · 10 eventsSevere thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts developed near a warm front during the mid afternoon hours of April 12th and continued through the late afternoon and evening hours. There were numerous reports of straight line wind damage with wind gusts of up to 75 to 85 mph.
