- Heat and Drought in Arkansas, July 1 to 31, 2012Unusually hot weather that began in late June continued into the first part of July, thanks to a large area of high pressure aloft. Many high temperatures of 100 degrees or higher were recorded, and a number of daily high temperature records were broken.
- Drought in Arkansas, October 1 to 16, 2006During a four and a half month period, from June to the middle of October, abnormally dry conditions prevailed across most of the Jackson, MS County Warning Area (CWA). - Drought in Arkansas, October 1 to 31, 2012Rainfall during October was less than normal in most of Arkansas, so improvements in the drought were limited. The greatest change occurred in parts of northern Arkansas.
- Drought in Arkansas, November 1 to 30, 2012Rain in November brought improvement in drought conditions in many parts of Arkansas. However, extreme drought lingered over much of western Arkansas, where rainfall was not as great. There was no exceptional drought in the state as of November 6th.
