- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Alabama, February 12, 2010A low pressure system moving across the northern Gulf of Mexico brought a swath of snow to a large portion of Central Alabama.

Cold air surging in on the back side of the storm system caused the rain to turn over to snow, some of which became heavy.

- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Alabama, January 14 to 16, 2024An impactful winter storm occurred after the passage of an Arctic cold front on the 14th and an upper level disturbance and jet streak tracked east-northeast through the mid South and Tennessee Valley the evening of the 14th into the 15th.

Although the storm weakened considerably as it approached north Alabama, a period of accumulating snow occurred behind the passage of an associated cold front.

- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Alabama, February 12 to 13, 2014A low pressure system developed in the northern Gulf of Mexico which tracked northeast through Georgia and eventually up the East Coast. The system produced rain, which changed to sleet and then a heavy wet snow during the late afternoon and evening of the 12th.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Alabama, February 11, 2014Bands of snow developed across north Alabama during the early morning hours of the 11th as an upper level disturbance tracked eastward. Snow accumulated to 1 to 2 inches in counties along the Tennessee state line.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Alabama, March 11 to 12, 2022After temperatures reached the upper 60s to around 70, a strong cold front arrived during the evening hours of the 11th dropping temperatures sharply by 20 to 30 degrees and into the 20s in just a few hours.

Moisture surging north as the low developed produced widespread wintry precipitation across the mid South and Tennessee Valley.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Alabama, January 21, 2025A large trough brought a cold, dry airmass to much of the southern United States January 18 and 19, which lingered for several days with sub-freezing temperatures as far south as the Gulf Coast.
- Heavy Snow in Alabama, December 14, 1997A strong low pressure system brought heavy snow to west-central Alabama, with accumulations up to five inches. It began in the western counties around 900 a.m. and moved through the central counties around noon. It finally began to tapper off around 230 p.m.
- Extreme Cold and Heavy Snow in Alabama, January 21 to 22, 2025A historic winter storm affected the tri-state area during mid January. A shortwave embedded within a larger 500mb trough dove south over Utah before sharpening and moving over the Four Corners region on the 20th.
