- Heat in Alabama, August 8 to 23, 2007A large ridge of high pressure, combined with very dry ground from the recent drought, combined to produce the hottest month on record across Central Alabama in the month of August.
- Heat in Alabama, June 28 to 30, 2012A strong ridge of high pressure shifted eastward from the Central Plains to the southeastern Continental United States, bringing with it recording breaking temperatures. Afternoon highs rose to 100 degrees or greater each afternoon.
- Heat in Alabama, August 1 to 2, 1999Near record breaking high temperatures occurred across Mobile and Escambia counties the first two days of August. Two elderly women died in their homes from excessive heat. A seventy-three year old female died in Brewton and a seventy-one year old died in Mobile.
- Heat in Alabama, July 14 to 21, 2000Near record breaking high temperatures around 100 degrees, combined with high relative humidities, resulted in afternoon heat indices between 105 and 115 degrees from July 13th through July 21st.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Alabama, June 27 to 30, 2012A very hot period occurred during the last week of June. Maximum temperatures climbed to 100 degrees or higher on each of these days in at least one county in north Alabama.
- Heat in Alabama, July 1, 2012A strong upper level ridge across much of the southeastern Continental United States resulted in unseasonably warm weather and record setting temperatures that began in June and extended into early July.
- Heat in Alabama, May 30, 2011A heat wave developed as a large upper level high pressure system strengthened over the region producing unseasonably hot weather. High temperatures reached the lower to mid 90s. Numerous heat illnesses were reported at a Huntsville 5 and 10K running event on the 30th.
- Heat in Alabama, July 21 to 26, 2010A heat wave re-established itself on 21st and lasted through the 26th. Numerous heat related illnesses or emergencies were reported. A Huntsville area ambulance service reported at least 20 heat emergency responses during this long period of hot weather.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Alabama, July 10 to 12, 2011Hot and very humid conditions produced dangerous heat during this period, mainly across northwest and north central Alabama.
- Heat in Alabama, June 25, 2000A 20-month old Fairhope child died of heat exposure. The mother of the child woke up and couldn't find the child. She looked for him for several minutes, finally finding him inside of the family car, parked in their front yard.
- Heat and Damaging Wind in Alabama, July 11 to 12, 2025Scattered convection occurred across Central Alabama during the afternoon of July 11. Two cells collided in southeast Lee County, with a microburst occurring in Smiths Station. The next day, a heat-related fatality occurred at a motocross park in Blount County.
- Heat in Alabama, July 11, 1996A 34 year old female was found in her vehicle suffering from a heat stroke outside a doctors office. She was estimated to have been in the vehicle for five and one half hours before being found.
- Heat in Alabama, June 22, 1998A three year old boy in Mobile was left inside a van at a day care center all day. He was not discovered until the late afternoon and had been dead for a few hours. He died of heat stroke.
- Heat in Alabama, June 29, 1998A 68 year old female in Atmore was found dead in a closed up house with no air conditioner. It is unknown what time she died. Relatives found her body on a couch. The house was extremely hot. Autopsy reports indicated that one of the causes of her death was hypothermia.
- Heat in Alabama, July 30, 1999An 84 year old woman was found dead in her home in Lafayette. The coroner determined that the death was heat related. The home was furnished with air conditioning but was apparently not operating.
- Heat in Alabama, June 24, 2000A 10-month-old child apparently left by mistake in a vehicle for 30 to 45 minutes in 95-degree heat died. The infant along with her mother, father, two siblings, and a grandmother had returned to their home in the Asbury community from shopping.
- Heat in Alabama, July 24, 2005In Billingsley, a handicapped man retrieved his mail and somehow became unable to return to his home. He succumbed to the intense heat and the cause of death was heat related. The high temperature measured at Dannelly Field in Montgomery was 96 degrees.
- Heat in Alabama, September 20, 2005A two year old girl was accidently left in a closed vehicle for two and half hours. The girl was discovered and taken to a local hospital where she died. Afternoon temperatures climbed into the middle 90s across the area that day.
- Heat in Alabama, July 28, 2005A gentleman was working outside in Athens and died a short time later. The death was attributed to the heat.
- Heat in Alabama, August 13, 2007Two fatalities resulted from this heat wave in Morgan County, Alabama.
- Heat in Alabama, August 9, 2007Two fatalities resulted from this heat wave in Morgan County, Alabama.
- Heat in Alabama, September 20, 2007An eight year old female was found dead inside a vehicle. The little girl had been left inside the vehicle all day by accident. The outside air temperature had climbed to near 90 degrees that day where the vehicle was located.
- Heat in Alabama, June 14, 2010High temperatures in the lower to mid 90s and dewpoints in the lower 70s produced heat index values between 99 and 104 degrees on the 14th in Franklin county. Tragically, a four year old boy died in the Waco community due to the hot temperatures.
- Heat in Alabama, August 3, 2012As is typical along the Central Gulf Coast Region for early August, on this day late morning and afternoon temperatures were in the middle 90s with heat index readings climbing to around 105.
- Heat in Alabama, August 2, 2012The combination of above normal temperatures in the mid to upper 90s with high humidity, led to a heat related death in Marshall County, Alabama.
