Emergency manager reports numerous trees downed in an around the town of Ideal.

Tornado damage was first observed on Sharp St near the|intersection with Jones St, where two large trees were uprooted.|These trees brought down power lines and led to outages in the|neighborhood. The tornado continued east-southeast, with several|more trees being uprooted along Sharp St and in the yards of|homes near Hwy 42. Snapped large branches were also observed in|the area immediately southeast of this intersection. The tornado|then moved southeast between Hwy 42 and Montpelier Ave, where it|uprooted about 10 pecan trees in an orchard and snapped about a|half-dozen trees across from the intersection of Montpelier Ave|and Rowland Ln. This damage was in line with the estimated|maximum wind speed of 95 mph and an EF1 rating. Mary Persons High|School was narrowly missed by the tornado. From here, the tornado|continued southeast, uprooting or snapping several trees on Pecan|Cir and at its intersections with Montpelier Ave and Virginia|Ave. The tornado continued through this neighborhood, uprooting|several large trees at the end of Slippery Rock Pl and another|tree on Hickory Pl. The tornado lifted in the woods between just|south of Hickory Pl, with no further damage observed.

The tornado first touched down west of Bryant Hill Road and moved|through a large pecan orchard snapping and uprooting numerous|trees. The tornado moved across Bryant Hill Road and very rapidly reached max intensity as it approached Sleepy Hollow Road. JGX radar data also confirms the presence of very strong velocities in the area near Sleepy Hollow Road as well. The|tornado struck a mobile home community on the west side of Sleepy Hollow Road destroying 4 mobile homes, overturning a home and damaging several others. One of the residents of a home was thrown approximately 40 feet from one of the destroyed homes. In another home, there were 2 injuries as a result of the home being|flipped over and destroyed. The overturned mobile home remained intact, however the anchors which were concreted into the ground were pulled out of the ground and hanging from the frame. Numerous trees nearby the community and across the street were snapped. The combination of the damage to the mobile homes and the scope of the tree damage nearby are consistent with high end EF1 to low end EF2 and the basis of the low end EF2 rating for this storm. The tornado continued east toward Hwy 49 snapping and uprooting trees. Two large silos had their tops ripped off with bricks and debris strewn all around the area near the silos. The tornado crossed Hwy 49 snapping and uprooting trees in a pecan orchard and flipping 3 sections of a center pivot. As|the storm continued east, a weakening trend was noted both on radar and the corresponding damage on the ground with mostly sporadic tree damage across Vegetable Road, County Rd 123 and County road 116. The tornado lifted north of Juice plant road just east of County Road 116.

A tornado spawned just west of Hwy 74 or Mercer University Drive near Windy Hill|Drive where several trees were snapped and uprooted. The tornado continued east crossing Mercer University drive snapping trees and entering a neighborhood where numerous home sustained damage along McCleary Lane and Lochewolde Dr. The most severe damage to homes included broken windows, garage doors being blown in, portions of the roof removed, and entire sections of shingles removed which is consistent with EF1 damage. The tornado continued east crossing Tucker road snapping and uprooting trees. One of the more interesting damage indicators was a large electrical transmission pole which was knocked over and bent across Tucker Road. This would normally have yielded a higher rating, however, upon inspection, a very large tree had fallen into the pole and initiated its collapse. It is also likely that debris had struck the pole given the large number of trees downed nearby. The tornado crossed I-475 and into a largely wooded area before crossing North Mumford road snapping and|uprooting trees. The tornado reached peak intensity of EF1 with max winds of 100mph between Mercer University Road and I-475. The tornado continued ENE toward Wolf Creek before lifting as it approached The Highlands community.

The storm that had generated a tornado in Macon County regenerated a tornado as|it moved into eastern Peach County. The tornado first touched down south of Hwy 96 and west of Lakeview drive snapping and uprooting trees. Several homes sustained damage along Lakeview Drive from falling trees indicative of low-to-mid-range EF1 damage. Similarly, one home had its garage door blown in and siding/shingle damage indicative of low end EF1 damage. The tornado continued east crossing I-75 snapping and uprooting trees. Damage to several metal buildings was noted just east of I-75 as|it tracked across Hwy 96. Numerous power poles were snapped along the south side of Hwy 96 and numerous trees were snapped or uprooted north of Hwy 96. Several structures on the north side of Hwy 96 sustained damage including portions of|the roof removed, windows broken or doors blown in consistent with EF1 type winds. The tornado continued east along Hwy 96 snapping and uprooting trees along the north side of the highway. The tornado crossed Brantley ridge snapping a few trees and began to weaken as it continued east finally lifting before it reached|Lake Joy Road.

This tornado continued briefly from Peach County crossing Hwy 41 just north of GA Hwy 96 East (county line). Most of the remaining damage was just a few trees snapped or uprooted but indicative of low-end EF1 damage.

The tornado continued east along Hwy 96 snapping and uprooting trees along the north side of the highway. The tornado crossed Brantley ridge snapping a few trees and began to weaken as it continued east finally lifting before it reached Lake Joy Road.

An EF0 tornado briefly spun up east of Pinehurst GA near Everett Road in Dooly|County. The tornado hit a small house along Rocky Ford Road blowing sections of metal roof off and into trees downwind of the house. The tornado also flipped a center pivot in a field nearby. The tornado lifted as it crossed Pinehurst Hawkinsville Rd and 3rd District Road.

In collaboration with Baldwin County Emergency management and a|diagnosis of the radar data at the time, it was determined that a|EF0 tornado developed within the line of storms just west of|Milledgeville at approximately 725AM. The tornado downed a few|trees on State dairy Road including 1 onto a vehicle. The tornado continued east crossing Blandy road downing several trees as it traveled between Blandy Hills Elementary School and the athletic fields to the south in a largely wooded region. The|tornado crossed 441 and struck a City public works building on Charlton St damaging a canopy. The tornado continued east into Milledgeville proper downing trees on North Pickens St, North Clark St, and knocking a tree onto a house along Baldwin Ave. |The tornado quickly dissipated as it travelled past Baldwin Ave.

As the line of thunderstorms continued into east-central Georgia, a tornado developed in central Twiggs county, several miles to the southwest of the city of Jeffersonville at 7:25 AM EDT. A tornado debris signature was observed from the KJGX radar at this|time. The first discernible damage was observed along I-16 Westbound, where a tree was snapped and another was uprooted to the immediate north of the interstate. The tornado continued east, snapping several pine trees at the end of Green Rd. Continuing to the south of Green Rd, it then crossed Hwy 96 where another pine tree was snapped. Between 7:27 and 7:28 AM EDT it uprooted a few trees near the intersection of Missile Base Rd and Prospect Church Rd. The most significant damage was observed in a|field on the north side of Prospect Church Rd and across from Missile Base Rd and Hamlin Floyd Rd. Here, as many as 30-40 large trees were uprooted, with several hardwood trees also snapped in the midst of these uprooted trees. As the tornado continued eastward, it snapped a couple more pine trees on the north side of Prospect Church Rd. The last damage observed was to the west of Tommie Thompson, with the tornado appearing to have lifted by 7:29 AM.

A brief tornado occurred to the east of Rentz, GA in the early morning hours of March 12. Damage from the tornado was first observed on Etheridge Rd near the intersection of GB Lindsey Rd where a pine tree was knocked over into the road. The tornado|continued northeast, running parallel to GB Lindsey Rd where it caused minor shingle damage to the roof of a home and damaged large branches in nearby trees. Continuing northeast, the tornado uprooted or snapped about ten pine trees in close proximity|before causing significant damage to a home. At this home, winds appeared to have entered through the opening, and pushed the walls outward. The northern facing wall was pulled out off of its nails, with debris and cinderblocks from near its base thrown|over 50 feet away. This was consistent with EF1 damage with winds of 100 mph. A hardwood tree was also uprooted immediately outside the home. The tornado destroyed a large chicken coop on the northeast side of the home and moved it about 30 feet. The tornado continued northeastward across a field, causing damage to|large branches at the tree line and uprooting an additional tree near a reservoir, lifting shortly thereafter.

The first discernible damage from the tornado was observed on Pinehill Rd, to the east of the intersection with US Hwy 441 and immediately northwest of the intersection with Hartley Rd. Here, a metal road sign was bent and two pine trees were uprooted.|Large branches were also broken to the northeast along a treeline across a small field. As the tornado continued east, several pine trees were observed to be uprooted with two more snapped on both sides of Pinehill Rd. The tornado pushed over power poles and uprooted additional pine trees near the intersection of Pinehill Rd and Hart Ln. Continuing further east, the tornado crossed Campground Rd, where it uprooted another tree. Further damage from the tornado was observed near the intersection of GA Hwy 19 and Bw Cook Rd, where a tree was uprooted and large branches|were broken on another tree. The tornado lifted between Bw Cook Rd and I-16 without causing any additional damage.
