Today will be a transition day as ridging starts to move north of
Florida. Currently we are see showers once again developing in the
Gulf of Mexico. These showers should start to dissipate as we get
into the afternoon. At the same time we can expect our afternoon
and evening thunderstorms development to start.

High pressure ridging across the area will begin to lift northward
today, with the upper trough that has been draped across north FL
gradually lifting out. Winds will continue to be light today in
the transition, with the afternoon sea breeze turning winds
onshore and scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms most
prevalent in the afternoon hours, but some coastal later morning
storms also possible.
For the weekend and into early next week, with the ridge axis
lifting north of the area, a slightly stronger easterly flow will
establish across the area with afternoon sea breezes, and weak
upper ridging building in will bring more typical thunderstorm
chances each day with the afternoon and evening timing. Then as we
get to the end of the period for Wednesday and Thursday, there are
several variables that we'll be monitoring, but in general, an
upper trough is set to move over the eastern US as surface
ridging continues with some deeper moisture moving over the state
and enhancing rain chances.
Highs will be in the upper 80s to lower to mid 90s each afternoon
with lows in the 70s to around 80 near the coast.

hours. Winds will remain light once again with a seabreeze setting
up along our coastal TAF sites. VFR conditions expected
throughout period outside of thunderstorms.

High pressure ridging across the waters will lift north today,
with easterly flow then establishing through the rest of the
period. Afternoon sea breezes will be possible each day, turning
winds onshore near the coast. Scattered showers and storms will
continue to be possible each day with no headlines expected, but
winds and seas locally higher near the storms.
