The day has started off on the wet side for many areas along the west coast of Florida this morning. Some areas saw some heavy downpours around sunrise as well as gusty winds around 25-35 mph. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to stream in from the gulf coast waters through the day with the highest coverage along the nature coast and over the interior later this afternoon. With more cloud coverage, the daytime high today will be a couple of degrees cooler than previous days topping out in the upper 80's to low 90's across the region. Overall VFR conditions will prevail through the period with WSW winds around 5-10 knots with some higher gusts near showers and storms.
