There is an outside chance for MVFR and BR conditions near KOKC
and KOUN, and even possibly IFR conditions with BR near KPNC
10-19 UTC Friday, but did not mention due to low confidence
of occurrence.
South/southeasterly surface winds will increase and become gusty
over western Oklahoma and western north Texas after 14 UTC Friday.

A warm and humid night is expected with low temperatures in the
70Fs--around 10F above average for this time of year.

DISCUSSION...
The subtropical ridge will start to expand north over the next day
or so, but will be temporarily set back by a wave + cold front on
Saturday. Before the front arrives, hot and humid conditions will
be the rule, and we have added a new Heat Advisory for tomorrow
for much of central and north-central Oklahoma. It appears that
temperatures/heat indices will be low enough Saturday to allow an
end to the advisories.
The front Saturday will come through dry over most of our
forecast area, as a very strong capping inversion will be in
place. This cap will be weaker near the Red River, and the front
will arrive close to maximum heating time. As a result, low
chances for thunderstorms are in place for there and then.
Sunday will have more-typical temperatures for early June (though
still mostly above average!), then the ridge starts to build
further into the rest of next week. The latest model runs show the
upper-level high being centered farther west than earlier runs,
which would result in somewhat less-hot weather, and higher
chances of mainly nighttime convection. For now, we've only
slightly trended our forecast toward the latest model output, and
will go further with changes should the model forecasts become
more consistent.
Another wave is forecast to round the upper-level ridge Sunday
night through Monday night, and will bring another chance for
showers/thunderstorms.
