Confidence in a brief period of MVFR stratus behind the front is highest at Ponca City and too low to mention elsewhere. Trends in upstream observation will be monitored and amendments will be sent if necessary. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 349 PM CST Tue Feb 7 2017/ DISCUSSION... Another cold front will move through the area late tonight and Wednesday morning taking the edge of the temperatures for a couple of days. However, temperatures will warm significantly again by Friday and especially Saturday as upper ridging builds over the Plains and southwesterly/downslope low-level flow develops. There is no significant chance of precipitation through this time period. We will at least start seeing some low precipitation chances as early as Sunday as ridge moves east and southwesterly flow aloft develops ahead of a developing low over Utah and Arizona. We will maintain some precipitation chances early next week. However, this system is progged to drive south into Sonora and may not make a move toward Texas/Oklahoma until the middle of next week, and with a surface front moving south of the area on Sunday, the precipitation chances next week are highly uncertain. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
