.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Wednesday.
Cold front approaches Idaho Tuesday and moves through the state by
Tuesday night. Expect breezy conditions Tuesday afternoon along
and behind the front and some Red Flag Warnings have been issued.
Gusts of 30 mph plus are possible across the Central Mountains and
Arco Desert Tuesday afternoon.  Front should be mainly dry but do
have isolated thunderstorms in southern and eastern highlands and
Snake River Plain Tuesday afternoon. Dry conditions expected
Wednesday with breezy conditions continuing especially in the
Snake River Plain.

.LONG TERM...Thursday through Monday...Expect dry weather over the
region on Thursday and a return to season temperatures and less
wind.  Low pressure will start to move inland from the CA/OR coast
and will enhance moisture flow with a weak to moderate monsoonal
moisture push overnight Thursday into Saturday.  A chance of
thunderstorms is possible during this time. At this point it is too
early to provide QPF precipitation estimates which will depend on
the depth of the moisture that will stream into the area. Models
hint at a secondary piece of energy coming through the area late
Sunday into Monday with isolated thunderstorms. Preston

.AVIATION...Smoke from fires to the west have produced localized
areas of MVFR visibility concerns today and expect those to linger
through tomorrow morning with overnight valley inversions setting
back in.  A weak frontal system will push through later on Tuesday
with a chance of isolated evening thunderstorms main affecting IDA
and DIJ.  Any thunderstorms around will produce brief gusty winds
and mvfr visibility.

.FIRE WEATHER...Red Flag warnings have been issued for zones 410,
411, 422, 425, 475 and 476 for strong gusty winds and low humidity
Tuesday afternoon and evening. A strong cold front for early
August will move through eastern Idaho on Tuesday and expect winds
to increase during the day with gusts reaching 30 to 40 mph by
afternoon in the warned locations. Isolated thunderstorms are also
possible Tuesday afternoon mainly in the southern and eastern
mountains. After hot conditions Tuesday expect a substantial cool
down Wednesday behind the front. Breezy conditions are also
expected Wednesday especially in zones 410, 427 and 413.
