The Hunters wildfire was managed by CalFire. Ignition was 5/26/14 and the cause was unknown. The location was 5 miles south of Coulterville, CA (Mariposa County) and the size was 677 acres. Containment was reached on 6/2 and the cost to containment was $4.4 Million. There were two residences lost and one outbuilding. There were no fatalities and unknown injuries.

THE REMAINDER OF THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND WILL BE DRY AND MUCH
WARMER AS A HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE BUILDS IN OVER CENTRAL CALIFORNIA.
TEMPERATURES WILL THEN TREND DOWNWARD THROUGH THE WEEK AS A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM DEVELOPS ALONG THE WEST COAST.

EPAC RIDGE AXIS CONTINUES TO MOVE IN OVER THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
INTERIOR TODAY AND SHIFTS EAST MONDAY AND TUESDAY. HOTTEST TEMPS
ARE STILL EXPECTED TOMORROW WITH OFFSHORE FLOW SETTING UP. ONCE
THE RIDGE SLIDES EAST...THE RETURN FLOW WILL BRING ONSHORE FLOW
BACK INTO THE REGION AND WE WILL SEE COOLING ACROSS THE NRN SJV AS
THE DELTA BREEZE SETS UP AND BRINGS IN OCEAN COOLED AIRMASS.

AN UPPER TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL DROP OUT OF THE GULF OF AK
AND MOVE SOUTH INTO THE PAC NW BY LATE TUESDAY AND EARLY WED WITH
INCREASED ONSHORE FLOW AND SYNOPTIC COOLING ACROSS THE REGION TO
JUST ABOVE SEASONAL TEMPS. THE TROUGH WILL BE VERY SLOW TO DIG
SOUTH ALONG THE COAST AND RMOP /RELATIVE MEASURE OF PREDICTABILITY/
IS LOW. HOWEVER TREND IS ON TRACK AND THE MODELS ARE TRENDING
TOWARDS COOLER TEMPS BY NEXT WEEKEND. WE ARE EXPECTING TO REMAIN
DRY THROUGH THE FORECAST WITH ONLY A SLIGHT CHANCE OF AN AFTERNOON
SHOWER THIS AFTERNOON...THEN DRY.
