VFR CONDITIONS PREVAIL ACROSS NORTH TEXAS THIS EVENING WITH ONLY A
COUPLE OF ISOLATED STORMS RIGHT ALONG THE RED RIVER. EXPECT ANY
CONVECTION OVERNIGHT TO REMAIN ISOLATED...HOWEVER THE LOW LEVEL
ENVIRONMENT WILL REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR GUSTY WINDS WITH ANY STORMS.
A RECENT STORM PRODUCED 42KTS AT KDTO WELL AFTER SUNSET. AN
OUTFLOW BOUNDARY IS MOVING INTO THE METROPLEX FROM THE NORTH AND
WILL LEAVE SURFACE WINDS A LITTLE VARIABLE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF
HOURS. EXPECT GENERALLY SOUTHERLY FLOW TO PREVAIL THROUGH THE
PERIOD. FOR NOW...WILL SHOW SCT070 CONDS TOMORROW AFTERNOON...
ALTHOUGH THERE WILL LIKELY BE AT LEAST ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ONCE
AGAIN. SIMILAR TO TODAY...ANY STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF STRONG
DOWNBURST WINDS.

.UPDATE...
WILL KEEP THE LOW POPS ACROSS THE NW ZONES THROUGH THE NEXT FEW
HOURS...BUT OTHERWISE ACTIVITY HAS DISSIPATED ACROSS THE REMAINDER
OF THE AREA. THE HEAT ADVISORY HAS BEEN CANCELED ACROSS THE EAST
AS LOW TEMPERATURES SHOULD COOL INTO THE MID 70S TONIGHT AND HEAT
INDEX VALUES DID NOT REACH 105 THERE THIS AFTERNOON. HEAT ADVISORY
CRITERIA WAS MET OVER THE METROPLEX TODAY...AND IT IS POSSIBLE
THAT IT WILL BE MET AGAIN FOR TOMORROW. HOWEVER WITH DIMINISHING
PRECIPITABLE WATER TOMORROW...THIS SHOULD ALLOW DEWPOINTS TO MIX
OUT A BIT MORE THAN TODAY. WILL DEFER THE DECISION TO ISSUE ANY
NEW HEAT ADVISORIES TO LATER SHIFTS. TR.92

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORMING NEAR A SURFACE
BOUNDARY NORTH OF THE I-20 CORRIDOR THIS AFTERNOON. THESE STORMS
WILL MOVE SOUTHWEST OR SOUTH AT AROUND 10 MPH AND HAVE THE
POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE STRONG DOWNBURST WINDS DURING THE NEXT
SEVERAL HOURS. THE STORMS WILL WEAKEN TOWARD SUNSET.

WE WILL SEE LOW CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH
THURSDAY NIGHT AND HAVE KEPT/PLACED 20 PERCENT POPS THROUGH THIS
TIME PERIOD. THE GFS BRINGS A FRONT INTO THE NORTHWESTERN PART OF
NORTH TEXAS BEFORE DAYBREAK THURSDAY AND THROUGH MOST OF THE
FORECAST AREA BY FRIDAY MORNING. THE ECMWF ALSO BRINGS A FRONT
INTO NORTH TEXAS BUT IS NOT QUITE AS AGGRESSIVE. FOR NOW HAVE
GENERALLY FOLLOWED THE ECMWF WHICH IS DRIER...PRECIPITATION
WISE...THAN THE GFS. TEMPERATURES MAY FALL BY A FEW DEGREES LATE
WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND...BUT ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN ABOVE SEASONAL
NORMALS.
