UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GULF WILL SHIFT TO THE EAST
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK WHILE A TROUGH APPROACHES FROM THE WEST.
THE TROUGH WILL DEAMPLIFY AND MOVE EAST ONTO THE PLAINS MONDAY AND
ALLOW A COLD FRONT TO MOVE SOUTH ACROSS NORTH TEXAS. MOISTURE WILL
BE THIN AND CONFINED TO THE LOWEST FEW THOUSAND FEET AND WARM AIR
WILL REMAIN IN THE MID LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE. THEREFORE...PRECIPITATION
IS NOT EXPECTED TO ACCOMPANY THE COLD FRONT. THE COOL AND DRY AIR
WILL BE BRIEF ACROSS THE REGION WITH ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
PROGGED TO DEVELOP IN THE WEST THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL
RESULT IN INCREASING LOW LEVEL MOISTURE ALONG WITH A CHANCE FOR
SHOWERS THURSDAY. ALTHOUGH MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES WILL BE ON THE
INCREASE...THE CAP MAY STILL BE TOO STRONG TO OVERCOME. FOR
NOW...WILL LEAVE POPS ON THE LOW SIDE (20 TO 30%) AND LEAVE OUT
THE MENTION OF THUNDER. RAIN CHANCES SHOULD END FROM WEST TO EAST
FRIDAY WITH THE PASSAGE OF THE UPPER TROUGH AXIS.

TEMPERATURES TONIGHT AND SUNDAY WILL BE SIMILAR TO THE LAST FEW
DAYS WITH LOWS IN THE 50S TO AROUND 60 AND HIGHS MAINLY IN THE
70S. THE COLD FRONT WILL ENTER THE NORTHWEST ZONES BEFORE SUNRISE
MONDAY AND TEMPERATURES WILL COOL INTO THE UPPER 40S BEHIND IT
WITH MAINLY 50S ELSEWHERE. TEMPS MONDAY WILL BE MUCH COOLER BUT
STILL NEAR OR ABOVE SEASONAL NORMALS WITH HIGHS IN THE 60S. A FEW
SPOTS IN THE NORTH MAY SEE FREEZING TEMPERATURES TUESDAY
MORNING...BUT ONLY BRIEFLY. A WARMING TREND IS EXPECTED THE
REMAINDER OF THE WEEK WITH THE RETURN OF LOW LEVEL MOISTURE. THE
EXTENDED MODELS DO DIFFER WITH REGARDS TO THE END OF THE WEEK. THE
ECMWF BRINGS A COLD FRONT ACROSS THE REGION THURSDAY THROUGH
FRIDAY WHILE THE GFS KEEPS THE FRONT NORTH OF THE REGION UNTIL
SATURDAY. FOR NOW...WILL SIDE A BIT CLOSER TO THE GFS SOLUTION
DUE TO RUN TO RUN CONTINUITY...BUT FROPA TIMING WILL MOST
CERTAINLY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED IN THE COMING DAYS. 79
