A thunderstorm created gusty winds which downed some trees in the Fairbanks area as well as damaged a few road signs. One residence sustained damaged to a portion of the roof when a cottonwood tree fell on it. One road sign was blocking traffic near downtown. Several trees were reported fallen across streets or roadways. Several small power outages occurred, according to the electric company. Damage roughly estimated at $5000 and includes a portion of a roof of one residence and one road sign.
