Thunderstorm wind damage was the most common occurrence with these storms, but some hail was reported with some of the storms, especially those near the beginning of the event. Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning was observed with many of the storms.

The public observed half-dollar-sized hail in the far eastern portion of the county east of Monroe, between Mount Vernon, Monroe, and Good Hope. A couple of large tree limbs were also down in the area.
The Paulding County 911 Center reported that penny-sized hail was observed in the New Hope and Dallas areas.
The public observed penny-sized hail. It was reported to be accumulating on the ground south of Winterville. One large tree was also blown down in Winterville.
The public reported that a small thunderstorm with a downburst or microburst blew a portion of a roof off a home on Hawkins Road. An adjacent shed was completely destroyed. Two trees were also blown down.
The public reported that one tree and a couple of power lines were down near Hiram.
The Oglethorpe County Emergency Management Director reported that several trees were down in the Sandy Cross community. Some power outages were noted in the area.
The public observed penny-sized hail. In addition, some tree limbs, about three inches in diameter, were blown down. A few shingles were also blown off the roof of a home.
Several reports of downed trees were received from the public, local police, and the Haralson County 911 Center. The public reported that at least six trees were down in the Tallapoosa area from Tallapoosa to about three miles south of Tallapoosa along Georgia Highway 100. The County 911 Center reported that one tree was down in Buchanan and another in Waco, both on roadways. The Tallapoosa police reported that at least two trees were down in the city.
The Cobb county 911 Center reported that several trees were blown down between Powder Springs and Mableton in southern Cobb county. It appears that much of this occurred from an outflow boundary preceding two thunderstorms moving southeast from eastern Paulding and central Cobb county.
The public reported golf ball-sized hail in the far southern portion of Bibb county near the Houston county line.
The public reported that from 20 to 30 trees were down in far southern Bibb county near the Houston county line.
The Morgan County 911 Center reported that a number of trees were down in the far southeast part of the county, just southwest of Buckhead, blocking Seven Islands Road. Pea-sized hail was also observed in the area.
The Macon (MCN) ASOS recorded a wind gust of 62 mph at 1652 EDT.

The Bartow County 911 Center reported that four trees and two power lines were down on West Oak Grove Road in the far western part of the county.
The Floyd County 911 Center reported that six to seven trees were blown down along Chullo Road in eastern Floyd county. This damage was apparently caused by wind gusts from a storm located along the Floyd/Bartow county line.
The Cherokee County Emergency Management Director reported that several trees were down east of Woodstock, several blocking roads. One home in the area also sustained damage when two trees fell on the structure. The Cherokee Tribune reported that several power lines were also down in the area.
The Rockdale County 911 Center reported that several trees were blown down.
The Cobb County 911 Center reported penny-sized hail in the far eastern portion of the county near the Fulton county line or about five miles east of Sandy Plains.
The Meriwether County Emergency Management Director and 911 Center reported that several trees were blown down west of Greenville. Some power lines were also down in the area.
The Fulton County 911 Center reported that at least three trees and power lines were down in the northern part of the county, southwest of Roswell. The public reported that two trees were down in their yard in the north part of Atlanta near Sandy Springs.
The Laurens County Emergency Management Director reported penny-sized hail in the Dudley area.
The Spalding County 911 Center reported that four trees and two power lines were down in the area around Griffin. Three of the trees down were northwest of Griffin, while one tree and one power line was down just north, and another tree and power line down just east of Griffin.
The Sumter County 911 Center reported that several trees were down at a number of locations in the southwest corner of the county, south of Plains.
The Washington County 911 Center reported nickel-sized hail in the far northern part of the county near the Hancock county line.
The Jefferson County 911 Center reported that several trees were down near and just east of Wrens.
A Crawford County Deputy Sheriff observed penny-sized hail on U.S. Highway 341 near Roberta. A couple of trees were also down on Georgia Highway 81 near Billy White Road.
The Harris County 911 Center reported that several trees and a few power lines were down along and near Georgia Highway 118, southwest of Pine Mountain. Some power outages were reported in the area.
The Troup County 911 Center reported that lightning struck a home and set it on fire. Damage estimates to the home were indeterminate. A couple of trees were also struck by lightning causing them to fall. An electrical transformer was also struck and rendered inoperative by a lightning strike in the same general area. Finally, fire fighters responded to a grass fire on Stovall Road that was caused by a lightning strike.
The DeKalb County 911 Center reported that at least 10 trees were blown down in the area around Lithonia. At least 20 calls were received from the public of downed trees.
The Jefferson County 911 Center reported that many trees were down from Louisville southward toward Bartow. More than 10 trees were down in the Louisville area alone.
The Harris County 911 Center reported that several trees and a few power lines were down along Georgia Highway 315, especially between Mulberry Grove and Cataula. Several other trees were blown down near U.S. Highway 27 in the far southeast part of the county between Ellerslie and the Muscogee county line. Two dead trees were blown down on Georgia Highway 85 at Ellerslie. A couple of power lines were also down near Ellerslie.
The Washington County 911 Center reported that several trees were down in the south central part of the county near the Johnson county line, including along Irwin, New Tennille, and Thompson Roads.
The Webster County Emergency Management Director reported quarter-sized hail around the Centerpointe community. There were reports that a number of cars in the area sustained damage from the hail.
The Webster County Emergency Management Director reported that eight to nine trees were down in the area. Two power lines were also down as a result.
The Rockdale County 911 Center reported that a good number of trees were down across much of the county. The area most likely to have seen the most tree damage was from north of Lakeview Estates near the DeKalb county border to west-southwest of Conyers.
The Johnson County Emergency Management Director reported that many trees were down from Wrightsville to Kite. The most concentrated area of damage was in the Kite area. In addition to numerous trees and power line down in the Kite area, including some on roads. a canopy was blown off a gas station in Kite.
The Taylor County Emergency Management Director reported that 10 trees and a couple of power lines were down from near Butler to between Butler and Reynolds. A number of trees were down along U.S. Highway 19 near Butler. A couple of trees were also down northeast of Butler.
The Crawford County 911 Center reported that several trees were blown down onto or near U.S. Highway 80 in far western Crawford county, well west of Roberta.
Local television media from Columbus reported that a few trees were down on U.S. Highway 27 in northeast Muscogee county. One tree was also down on and blocking Warm Springs Road.
The Emanuel County 911 Center reported that many trees were down across the county as a significant thunderstorm downburst moved across the county from Blundale, to Swainsboro, to Twin City and Stillmore. The public estimated wind speeds in the 55 to 60 mph range at a convenience store just east of Swainsboro.
The Marion County 911 Center reported that several trees were down on Georgia Highways 41, 137, and 352 north of Buena Vista.
The Webster County Emergency Management Director reported that penny-sized hail was observed in the Seminole community. Two to three trees were also blown down at private residences.
The Webster County Emergency Management Director reported that lightning struck a couple of trees and electrical transformers and set them on fire at private residences. No structural damage was reported.
The Lumpkin County 911 Center reported that many trees and several power lines were down between Lumpkin and Richland and also along Georgia Highways 38C and 39 in the western and southwestern part of the county between Florence Marina State Park and Lumpkin. Several power outages were observed in the area as well.
The Houston County 911 Center reported that a few trees were blown down across the county, especially in the Warner Robins and Perry areas. Localized street flooding was also noted.
The Bleckley County 911 Center reported that many trees were down in the western part of the county. Several power outages were observed in the Cochran area.
The Pulaski County 911 Center reported that several trees were down in the county. Some power outages were noted in the Hawkinsville area.
