An off duty NWS employee reported at least nickel size hail at the Foothills Mall at La Cholla and Ina roads. Larger hail pieces were present as well.
Penny size hail was reported by a trained spotter.
Power lines were reported down at Oracle road and River road.
Numerous trees were downed due to strong thunderstorm winds in the vicinity of Oracle road and Ina road. Largest tree was about 6 inch diameter and the others 4 to 5 inches in diameter.
Seven to ten trees downed at Ina road and La Canada road. Trees were up to 12 inches in diameter.
Two large trees were uprooted and on the roadway at Ina and Shannon roads.
A swift water rescue occurred at River road and Swan road due to flash flooding.
