NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE CENTERED JUST OFF THE U.S. EAST
COAST WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST THROUGH TUESDAY AND PARK OVER THE
WESTERN NORTH ATLANTIC. THIS WILL ADVECT LOW LVL PATCHES OF
MOISTURE OVER SOUTH FLORIDA ENOUGH TO MENTION A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
RAIN THROUGH THIS PERIOD. MEANWHILE...A DEEP LAYER LONG WAVE
TROUGH WILL DIG SOUTH FROM CANADA THROUGH THE CENTRAL PORTION OF
THE COUNTRY. THIS WILL INDUCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FRONTAL SYSTEM
JUST SOUTH OF THE GREAT LAKES REGION WITH A COLD FRONT EXTENDING
SOUTHWEST TO WESTERN GULF COAST BY TUE NIGHT. GOOD UPPER LEVEL
SUPPORT WILL ALLOW FOR THIS FRONT TO MOVE QUICKLY ESE TO CENTRAL
FLORIDA BY THU MORNING. AT WHICH POINT MODELS SUGGEST IT WILL
LOOSE STEAM AS THE MAIN ENERGY PUSHING IT IS DIVERTED TOWARD THE
NORTHEAST...ACTUALLY GFS STALLS THIS SYSTEM JUST NORTH OF LAKE
OKEECHOBEE AND KEEP US UNDER PARTLY CLOUDY CONDITIONS WITH
SLIGHTLY HIGHER CHANCES FOR RAIN...STILL WILL NOT GO AS HIGH AS
GFS WHICH HAS SCT POPS FROM THU THROUGH SATURDAY. A SHORT WAVE
WILL THEN MOVED SE AROUND THE BASE OF THE LONG WAVE TROUGH GIVING
THE ADDITIONAL PUSH NEEDED TO MAKE THE FRONT MOVE THROUGH SOUTH
FLORIDA BY SAT MORNING WITH TEMPS (BOTH MAX/MIN) FALLING TO FEW
DEGREES BELOW NORMAL VALUES AFTERWARDS.

&&

.MARINE...BOTH WINDS AND SEAS SHOULD SUBSIDE TONIGHT BUT STILL
HIGH ENOUGH OVER THE GULF STREAM TO KEEP A CAUTIONARY STATEMENT.
SEAS WILL INCREASE AGAIN OVER THE GULF STREAM BY MID-WEEK AS WINDS
TURN MORE NORTHEAST.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...NO PROBLEMS AS MEAN RH REMAIN ABOVE 35% THROUGH
ALMOST THE ENTIRE FORECAST PERIOD. DEWPOINTS AND THEREFORE MEAN RH
VALUES WILL LIKELY DROP BY THE END OF THE FORECAST PERIOD AFTER
THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH SOUTH FLORIDA.
