.SYNOPSIS...A DEEP UPPER LOW WILL SWING ACROSS WESTERN WASHINGTON
TODAY...FOR MORE SHOWERS AND A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. A WEAK WARM
FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA SATURDAY...AND MOIST WESTERLY FLOW
ALOFT WILL KEEP SHOWERS IN THE FORECAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND. AN
UPPER RIDGE WILL BUILD OVER THE AREA EARLY NEXT WEEK FOR A TREND
TOWARD WARMER AND DRIER WEATHER.

SOUNDING INTO KBFI REPORTING 500 MB TEMPS -27C. MODEL SOUNDINGS FOR
THIS AFTERNOON CONTINUE THE IDEA OF AN UNSTABLE AIR MASS OVER
WESTERN WASHINGTON WITH LIFTED INDEXES BELOW ZERO AND CONVECTIVE
TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MID 50S. TROUGH AXIS EAST OF THE AREA
BY 00Z WITH NORTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT. WEAK CONVERGENCE ALREADY
PRESENT OF THE WSR-88D IN NORTHERN SNOHOMISH COUNTY. EXPECT THE
CONVERGENCE ZONE TO INTENSIFY AND MOVE SOUTH LATER THIS AFTERNOON
INTO TONIGHT. AS THE TROUGH CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST FLOW ALOFT
BECOMES MORE ZONAL OVER THE WEEKEND. A SERIES OF WEAK SYSTEMS
EMBEDDED IN THE ZONAL FLOW MOVING OVER THE AREA FOR SATURDAY AND
SUNDAY KEEPING SHOWERS IN THE FORECAST. BY MONDAY AN UPPER LEVEL
TROUGH WILL BEGIN TO DIG OUT BETWEEN 140-150W WHICH WILL IN TURN
START TO BUILD A RIDGE ALONG THE WEST COAST FOR A DRY MEMORIAL DAY.
