THE SECOND BEING THE UPPER LEVEL MOISTURE INFLOW FROM THE PACIFIC/BAJA REGION AS SEEN BY WV/IR SATELLITE LOOPS. A WEAK RIDGE IS LOCATED TO THE NORTHWEST AND THE SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL PLAINS ARE DOMINATED BY WEAK TROFING. MOISTURE CONTINUES TO BE ADVECTION INTO THE REGION AND WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE EASTERN GULF RIDGE REINFORCES THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AS FORECASTED TO DO SO THIS WEEKEND. Widespread 1 to 2 inch rain totals, with up to 5 inches in the Lytle area, caused flash flooding from late morning through the afternoon and into the evening.
Showers and thunderstorms dropped between 1 and 2 inches of rain over much of Guadalupe County. Highest totals were near 5 inches from Seguin southward along SH123 into the southern part of the county. Flash flooding continued from late morning through the afternoon and into the evening.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell over much of Bexar, Comal, Hays and Kendall Counties in the morning. Maximum rain amounts were 3 inches around Somerset. Flash flooding developed in the late morning and continued into the afternoon.
Showers and thunderstorms produced a general 1 to 2 inch rain over Caldwell County, with as much as 5 inches between Lockhart and Luling. Flash flooding was reported from late morning into the evening hours.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell over much of Bexar, Comal, Hays and Kendall Counties in the morning. Maximum rain amounts were 3 inches near New Braunfels. Flash flooding developed in the late morning and continued into the afternoon.
